Designed for use in directional drilling applications to condition wellbores, remove key-seats and smooth dog leg severity while drilling. The Hurricane can be utilized in any rotary bottom hole assembly. Cutter piston position is hydraulically controlled from surface by pump flow, giving driller control to ream only when desired. - Provides on-demand downhole reaming capability to any BHA with low operating cost. - Drill build or lateral section with Hurricane in non-reaming mode. Activate Hurricane and back ream out of the hole. - Unique blade profile aids in hole cleaning while rotating and allows for easy sliding. - Tool is operated by cycling the rig pumps in a specific sequence. Standpipe pressure indicates piston position resulting simple operation.
